The desk pad’s natural cork fabrication is made from shavings that are recycled from cork oak trees. Harvesting cork doesn’t harm the trees at all, in fact, harvesting helps extend the tree's lifespan. The cork shavings are pressed flat into a thin layer, dried, and fused to a polyester backing to form a flexible yet robust sheet.
